Guardian Angel Staffing employees may only be placed in assignments that match the job description for which Guardian Angel Staffing assigns them.
If an employee is asked to float to another department with the customer, the department must be a like department or unit and the float employee must have demonstrated previous competency and have the appropriate certifications, credentials for that department/unit. Employees should only be floated to areas of comparable clinical diagnoses and acuities.
The following procedures should be followed for healthcare professionals and nurses in particular who are assigned to an area in which they do not feel competent:
• The healthcare provider will immediately notify Guardian Angel Staffing Agency, Inc.
• The employee is obligated to inform the hospital of his/her professional limitations based upon the Nurse Practice Act standards and upon Guardian Angel Staffing Agency, Inc., client contract specifications as they relate to the assignment.
• The President or Clinical Liaison at Guardian Angel Staffing Agency, Inc., will work within the bounds of each discipline’s Professional Association or State Governing Body and the client agreement to resolve the issue.
• Guardian Angel Staffing will pay healthcare professional for hours worked up until the end of his/her shift.
• Guardian Angel Staffing will pay nurse for hours worked up until the end of his/her shift.
